Comparing Canada and India School System

I’m in Grade 2 in H.F.L Public school in Brampton, but I go to school in India for couple of months when we go and visit my grandparents, uncle and his family. This article is about what I learned and love the most and the differences between both the schools in India and Canada.

I love Canada school because we have a lot of fun activities and games. We have library in Canada school and can go on Prodigy math games and if we don’t know how to get on prodigy we can go to any other games we like to go. For example we can go to Math track or Bit strips, but only thing we can’t do is Mind craft, because it has lot of bad things. We could pick up books and read them at home and return the next day. Guess what I got a smiley eraser because I finished reading 20 + books.

I love India school also because we have activities on Every Saturday and all Saturdays are school days. But we don’t have a library in the school.

In Canada school we have Gym. The thing I liked the most is Bounce ball.  We go to the park sometimes and if it is inside Gym we do Hula hoop, Basket Ball, Bounce ball, Jump rope, Soccer, Tennis, Toss the bean bag and outside we play four squares. I always use to loose at this game, but once I came third and another time came second, but never came first. We play Basketball and throw ball in the net even though it is high. I do Hula hoop on my neck and hip and arm without making it fall down.  In Kindergartner we played wash the babies; match the card, built a house .And we play in the park games like swing, climbing on the trays and back sliders, monkey bars in both the schools. India school doesn’t have Gym, but only have fun in the school park after the school hours.

I love both of my Canadian and Indian teachers and friends. They are so kind. The teachers taught me good studies and I got A++ in my India School. All the tests, class work and home work given to me in my Canada School I did excellent. All my friends allow me to play with them.

In Canada School we have slip tests in the school  and at the last day of the school they put all the papers in a folder and gave it to me and  all the tests I did were 100 % right and got a smiley from my teacher and my mom and dad were so happy and gave me a big candy and an ice cream cone.

In India school we have test every day in the morning, and we have unit test and quarterly exams and in all the subjects I got A++. Everyone at home were happy. My uncle took me, my mom and Aunty to an ice cream parlor and also I got big   kinder joy candy.

Canada and India teachers are amazing. Canadian teachers help us to solve the problems if anyone is bulling us. Indian teachers talk to me a lot and help us solve our problems when people are being rude to us. In Canada School we eat Lunch and Snack in the music room. In India School my mom brings Lunch and we sit under the tree and play in the park and eat.  In Canada School I have homework once in a week and in India School daily we have homework and morning we need to do slate work.

In Canada School I have music class and it is so much fun and there we do songs and sometimes we watch movies and could play on I pads and can draw. In India School I have no music class. As I wanted a music class I have to do it out side of the school and now I learn from a master from India in Skype.

Because of studying in both the schools it is benefitting me a lot and learns lot of subjects. From my Canada School I learn English, Math, Science and Puzzle solving etc. From India School I learn English, Math, Science, General Knowledge, Telugu and Hindi.

When I’m in Canada in the summer vacation I do all my subjects that I have in India School for an hour or two. And when I go to India in the evening I do my work book which my dad got me from  Walmart in Canada . It is a big book that has Math, English and Science. And I love learn things from all these books.

Memorable thing in my India school is doing a group dance program in an auditorium. It is called Mahati Auditorium a famous one in Tirupati, India.

Memorable thing in my Canada School is getting a Husky award for an article of mine being published in theasianconnectionsnewspaper.com about my experience in flower city parade
